Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by our blog.  Paper Rice Designs launched its Etsy store in September and it's been exciting to watch it grow (slowly but surely!)  Here is a snapshot of some of our items:

We've been prepping (which is a euphemism for what we fondly call "sweatshopping") for our very first craft show this Sunday.  It's called Astoria Market (www.astoriamarket.com) and it's held at the famous Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden every Sunday from 12-5pm.  Last week was the launch of the market - they contacted us to be a vendor for the inaugural market, but we needed some more time to crank out more jewelry so we postponed it to this Sunday, 11/14.  We definitely won't be there every Sunday, but if all goes well, we may participate as a vendor from time to time in the future!  If you live in the area and have a little bit of time, please stop by!  It would be great to see some familiar faces, and to meet some new faces as well.  For those of you who are interested in jewelry, we have so many more designs than what we currently have listed on our Etsy store, and for the rest of you who could care less about jewelry, come out to say hi and grab a beer at NYC's oldest beer garden (100 yrs old this year!)

Paper Rice had its first international sale this past week - we've shipped one of our silver wire wrapped pearl rings all the way to Australia!  It's pretty exciting to think that our ring that we've created is traveling across the globe.  We are going to be adding international shipping to our store very soon, so stay tuned for those of you who are overseas! :)
